Logitech G51 Speaker Review

This is a review of the logitech g51 speaker. Hi guys n’ gals! I’m James and I want to give you a review of my recently purchased Logitech G51 Surround Speakers. I’m writing this review because I’ve noticed that there are a couple of details missing from the reviews I found on the web and some of them give only the “Super-amazing-mega-outstanding” speech, instead of talking about the real value of this product. In this review I will give you my honest and genuine opinion, and I hope you’ll like my review!

Before I purchased the Logitech G51 Speaker, I used mostly small $15 table speakers and I honestly believe that I had about 50 sets of them since the age of 12 when I started using computers. The thing about these 15-bucks-speakers is that their sound quality is the lowest among the speakers and, they are destined to brake in the course of 6 months. With that in mind, the reason I got this set of speakers was that I bought a new computer for gaming and, since my biggest gaming passion is racing games, I wanted something that will make the VROOOM of the engine to sound Monstrous!

After using the Logitech G51 Speaker for the past couple of weeks, I was able to compare the Logitech company claims to what the product really delivers and this is what I’ve found out: the company claimed that “With 155 watts of total RMS (root mean square) power, the G51 speaker system is optimized to deliver high-performance audio experiences. The ported, down-firing subwoofer rumbles with every explosion” this is true because I turned on the whole system to maximum and put on “sweet child O’ Mine” by Guns N’ Roses, exited the room and listened carefully to the sound quality. I was amazed to find out that it had ABSOLUOTELY NO DISTORTION! (Not talking about the guitars lol) the sound was VERY powerful yet, it was very clear. The system itself is very easy to assemble and probably takes less than 5 minutes, you just connect the speakers to the subwoofer and plug the main cable to the computer and you’re done.

All in all I’d say that the Logitech G51 Speaker is a pretty genuine product. I like its great sound, easy installation, great control pod and its simple center-channel LCD mounting option. There are a couple of things I didn’t like actually: the front speaker wires are a bit too short and, all the wires from all the speakers are hard wired (so if you want to disconnect them and then smelt them to a longer cable, do it on your own risk). Overall these speakers are excellent value for money - sure they won't go as loud as some of the higher end models, but they are perfectly loud enough for movies, music and games. I would not hesitate to give these 5 stars if it weren't for the issue with the cables. If you're looking for compact 5.1 system, you won't get much better value than the G51. I give it 4.5/5.
